Uganda Through The Seasons
  • June – September (Dry Season) – The best time for gorilla trekking and wildlife viewing, with clear skies, cooler temperatures, and easier forest trails. National parks are lush yet accessible, offering ideal conditions for photography and safaris.
  • October – November (Short Rains) – Gentle rains bring renewed greenery and dramatic skies. Wildlife remains active, and lodges are quieter — a perfect time for travelers seeking peace and authenticity.
  • December – February (Dry & Warm) – Another excellent period for gorilla tracking, birdwatching, and exploring the savannahs. The landscapes are vivid, and days are warm without being harsh.
  • March – May (Long Rains) – Uganda turns emerald green as rains refresh the land. While some tracks become muddy, the scenery is spectacular, the air is clear, and the parks are serene with fewer visitors.
